Before anything goes to work under pressure, it needs to prove it can handle it. Pressure testing is how you know — not hope, not assume — that your equipment is going to perform when it counts. Empire runs pressure testing across Northern Alberta, 24/7, with crews that know what they’re doing and documentation that holds up to scrutiny.
We perform hydrostatic, and leak testing on pipelines, vessels, wellsite equipment, and pressure control components. On-site or in our Grande Prairie shop — whichever works best for your operation.
Water is used to pressurize the surface equipment to a specified test pressure — typically above the maximum allowable operating pressure. It’s the most common method for pressure testing in oilfield applications and the safest way to identify leaks, weak points, and structural issues before equipment goes into service.
Lower-pressure testing to verify seal and connection integrity across equipment assemblies, flanges, valves, and fittings. If it’s supposed to hold, we’ll confirm it does.
